Before we go any further, we would like to share our story with you.
The Motorworld Group journey began from humble beginnings as one of several investments made by American businessman Alfred Marshall, when Marshall Motors opened its doors in the 1980s in Cole Bay, Sint Maarten.
The new dealership was ambitious, but started with just one brand. Hyundai was not well known in the automotive environment in Sint Maarten/Saint Martin at the time, but with iconic models such as the Excel and the Pony, Marshall Motors and Hyundai quickly started to become established.
Eventually other brands such as Daihatsu in the 1990s, Honda in the early 2000s, while Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler and Ram were added to the brand lines along the way.
A rich history indeed, but the real turning point came in 2004, when the Amjad family was provided with the opportunity to purchase Marshall Motors. This venture was not only a business decision, but a way for a mother and father to lure their beloved children back to St. Maarten after studying in the United States.
This was one of Imran and Farina (Rena) Amjad’s secrets, but they knew that their boys, Reza and Tariq, loved cars. Not surprisingly, both eventually returned and made their careers in the automotive industry in Sint Maarten/Saint Martin at Motorworld.
The Motorworld Group also consists of Caribbean Auto and Audi Sint Maarten. Caribbean Auto serves as the premium automobile dealership on the island, and began with the introduction of Ford in 1938. Over time, the elite fleet of automobiles has expanded to include classic, and yet contemporary Audi models with reliable German-engineering, modern and sleek Mazdas made for swift movements on the local streets, durable Volkswagens that add a vibrant style to your driving experience, as well as the latest Ford vehicles with various affordable, and yet luxurious, automotive advancements.
Originally operating from a separate location from Motorworld, Caribbean Auto and Audi have since moved locations and began operating under one roof located at Welfare Road #20 in the summer of 2020. In 2023, the Motorworld Group was proud to introduce Changan Auto to it’s line of available brands.
