Motorworld’s “Adopt-A-School Program ©” was launched in 2021 as a community outreach initiative to assist schools throughout St. Maarten by providing financing for urgently identified areas of need.

The Adopt-A-School Program was first launched in March 2021, with the goal of continuously seeking out new ways to truly make a difference to the people on the island. This effort is driven by the company’s firm belief that education is of paramount importance for our youth and the sustainability of our communities.
The program’s main initiative is for Motorworld to adopt up to five schools each year, whereby each adopted school will then qualify for the sponsorship/support of a maximum of $1000. The purpose of these funds is to assist with any area of need identified within the school(s), classroom(s), and by the respective school management.
Of the requests received in 2023, the vast majority focused on upgrading safe creative spaces for the students, as well as encouraging their learning and social skills. For example, projects included contributing to the improvement and beautification of play areas and gardens, also supplying computers and other equipment for digital learning labs.

“Our students are the future, and we’re happy to support these schools in cultivating atmospheres that encourage and inspire them to learn,” shares Managing Director, Motorworld Group of Companies, Tariq Amjad.

Congratulations to the schools that were part of the program for 2023: Sister Regina Primary, Seventh-Day Adventist School, St. Maarten Academy, St. Maarten Academy P.S.V.E., and Sundial School. Motorworld is proud to embark on this journey annually and is also excited about the outcome of the projects. Much success to everyone further in the execution of the upcoming projects that will improve our educational atmosphere on the island.
Motorworld would also like to thank all the schools that submitted their proposals and encourage all educational institutions to prepare for the continuation of the annual program for the upcoming 2024 school year. Schools can expect to be contacted to participate in the program during the 2nd quarter of 2024.
